A Die Changer is a
device for changing dies on an extrusion line without interrupting the
process. Die Changers are commonly used on polymer, rubber and ceramic
production lines.
The high-speed
movement allows the die to be exchanged within a few seconds, depending
on the die size.
A Die Changer can be
fitted to a production line downstream of a screen changer, and one
hydraulic unit can operate both, the Screen Changer and the Die Changer. |

Die Changers are
custom-built for a specific process, in consultation with the customer.
Can be heated or cooled, depending on the working demands and are
suitable to operate with a variety of materials, at working temperatures
between +5˚ C to + 300˚ C and melt pressures of up to 450 BAR.
The units can be
designed to accept existing or new die plates, as requested. If
required, the extruder screw can be extended to within millimetres of
the die plate. The units can be fitted to Single or Twin Screw
Extruders and can operate on automatic mode, if required. |
